Actually to be honest I have seen the Florida DOT harass truckers in theirs. To this day I know of three drivers that refuse to break in a Florida scale break area.
Does sign say Rest Haven or Safe Haven?

I sometimes think truck drivers believe this myth that you can't be bothered during that ten hour break. This is not so. I don't remember the year but it was just after Alabama opened their scale on I-20. I was bobtail and I was moving a new truck from Atlanta to Dallas. I'm not going to get into the why but I was dangerously tired and decided to move the barricade on the ramp going in to that scale and pulled up in and went to sleep. A while later I was woke up by a trooper whom told me to move. I expressed to trooper I was on my break and the trooper told me he did not care. I asked the trooper to let me finish my break. The guy called another person and this person told him to let me be. However about 8AM the next morning my break was up just before this the scalemaster called me inside and informed me that I had committed criminal trespass. I asked about my break and was informed that if I had played that card they would call a wrecker and have me towed. I later wrote the Atlanta office of the FMCSA about this and was told Alabama was fully within the law to tow me. Just saying.
