did you ever teach one of your kids to drive?

multiply the attitude and danger by 10.

a trainer should have at least 5yrs experience in my book. or it's basically inexperience teaching no experience.

And just what this industry needs...

A new driver with little experience becoming a trainer just for the extra money.

Pickups and deliveries are rarely at night or on weekends.. Unless it's changed since 7 years ago. You don't run more and it's 0.05-0.25 more cpm negated by places being closed

Just like refer is negated by detention

I made gold letter TMC driver checks in post covid dry van... I'm 1800 a week dry van at CT right now and it's not even hazmat...

But you get to show off at truck stops with flatbed and stepdeck lol

I agree. The Dumb and Dumber program in full swing.

If you REEEEEEAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLYYY enjoy the job, and you really like helping new ones, and your goal is to make your students the very best at what they do, then teach. But if you’re just after an extra couple hundred bucks, and you really don’t give a flying Fup about students, don’t teach. 100 days in? It’s like hiring a third grader to teach first grade.

    “But he passed second grade!”

Right. BTW, the DM is part of the problem. You aren’t getting the miles because of of bad planning, and your DM suggests that you become a trainer for more money? Why can’t your DM get his/ her/it/they/zee head out of hisherittheyzee arse and do the effin job? No offense meant to you, OP, but everyone else involved at your company is a moron. Understand what that means about your money and miles. You got your foot in the door. Better your craft, don’t talk to them about money because they’re not doing their job. Prepare yourself for your next opportunity.

i remember many moons ago, tarping, all of the sudden, a wind comes, its like a parachute, but i hang on too the tarp, and a way i go, right off the side of the flatbed. I landed on my feet, but i was very young. do it now, take me too the hospital. ha ha ha
