The only difference I've seen is more trucks in the 3rd lane passing slow can haulers in the LA area.

On a side note, I saw a Schneider truck that was clean today.

I've been on e-log for years and haven't killed or maimed anyone. In fact, the only time I am even close to my 14 is when I decide to push a little further down the road than originally planned. That is the magic word...PLAN, or more precisly TRIP PLANNING is the key. Oh, and the argument about "the mega drivers will be killing because they're in a big rush because of the new regulation" simply doesn't work either because most mega carriers have been on e-log for years so they have a better dispatch system appearantly (he said sarcastically)...either that or they have enough equipment to do a lot of drop/hook loads thus taking the "delayed at customer" complaint out of the equasion.

@Western flyer hit on one answer that works...getting paid better. Instead of working for a cheap per mile rate, work for a company that pays enough so you don't have to run your tail off just to survive. I went to a company to hauls flat glass, where most of our pickups are preloaded and secured, but most of our deliveries are live unload, and...you have to show a bunch more "unload" time than a van or reefer simply because no DOT officer on the planet would believe that you untarpped and unsecured the load in 15-20 min, so I burn at least 1 hour per load on "unloading", but yet am on pace to make the best money of my 25 yrs warming the seat. So the argument about ELDs is just another reason for crying and complaining...suck it up buttercup.
