All these sweet moving companies with their extended cabs they have a toilet!! How do I go about running like that? Are they only owner operators? If so they must make foooooood money so moving companies like atlas and reliable must be good huh? I also seen a team running one for atlas. Can someone tell me how a screw up like me can drive a big baby like that? Without buying it? Don't get me wrong 10 years from now I will be able to buy that but for now I'm in my invest and save and don't do anything stupid phase.

You are going to hate it.

Some of those large cars are necessary because they are in a part of our Nation's entertainment industry where they have to sit at trade shows sometimes for weeks on end.

We carried a basic human toilet purchased from a chain camping store with the necessary refills of the required solvents, chemicals and other necessary things for disposal of the resulting human waste should the toilet be used in our Sleeper. It sat in the cabinet of our Century 2001 sleeper below the Television ready to go at a moment's notice. There was a covered litter box for our cat under the bunk where it had a charcoal filter to kill the stink and it was cleaned out often.

Save your money. You will find something good to enjoy with your hard earned cash at some point in your future. But use it before it gets inflated away is my advice such as a home and some land etc paid for in full among other things and being debt free and able to handle your own problems that will come up when your health declines later in life as it does to most people.

Our own home was paid free and clear in less than 6 years with the help of our team earnings in about two to three years hard work, first myself then with spouse and done. We later sold it to pay off other worthless student loan debts so that the US Government cannot have a hold over us for the rest of our lives. That kind of debt cannot be discharged as overall college is worthless. I think there is a 4 year degree one spouse and a part of a second year for me for around 38000 to 46000 spent during the 2000's all worthless. But the Government is paid off in terms of all those horrible student loans. It was the one biggest screw up we ever got into and we got out of it by paying them off completely. They actually did not want to accept the fed wire in full I think was about 18000 remaining, but we sent the wire paid off, got a receipt and walked away free. They did threaten us with a early payment fee of about 10%, we said do it. It's being paid off. In the end they did not charge the fee.

    One of these you mean?

You just buy one. $47k. Then pay it off. In a year.

I did it, so can you.

Man, most of those bed buggers have those sleepers converted into bunkhouses to house the moving help. Ive been beside a couple of them in truckstops that smelled worse than a pig wagon...the only thing that smells as bad as a bull hauler in August.

Bet they're a bit of a trick to back into a tight spot, huh, @blairandgretchen ?

Kinda like anything else, you get to know your limitations. I get out and look - a LOT. I always think when I'm doing it - "Hope these guys are watching and figuring out you never forget the basics if you're gonna make it in this business"

    I figure they're watching and thinking . . .

"Ha Ha - fancy pants in your big sleeper - hope you hit the Swift truck . . . ."

Nah. They think, "look at the flatbed that can't back into a spot".
