Trucking is not brain surgery, it requires little expertise and language fluency, common sense and marginal mental agility is all you need. While corps screw them without lube super truckers are on lookout for less than fluent drivers to play psychological compensation tricks on. Blaming faceless gobbernment is another favorite compensation trick. Truckers never ever dare to attack caring corporate hands screwing them. That can hurt. Beatching at faceless and harmless, that's where supertruckerdom shines.
With this spineless attitude the future is bleak.

It used to be an OOS, but no longer. During the Obama administration, that was taken away.
I was at the POE in Sheridan, WY and was watching a guy drive through the bypass lane and he stopped, stared at the sign, moved forward a bit and stopped again. After watching him for a bit, I determined that he was trying to figure out what to do because he couldn't read English. I mentioned it to the weighmaster and told him to grab his clipboard (WY had a series of questions on the back of a clipboard that they would make them read to determine if they could read and understand English). He said they weren't allowed to put them OOS any more.
The fact that we allow these people to drive 80,000 lb trucks around us and our families is beyond ridiculous.

Well they’re pretty much like us, they don’t work for free! With exception to a few pro bono cases!

Always looking to blame the wrong factor in this operation. Why someone who doesn’t speak English is a CDL holder or he, no habla inglés , had a job as a driver ????? When I had more than one truck in my fleet , the first requirement to drive for me was INGLES!!!!! But big corporations take advantage of those drivers. Cheap labor!!!! They can get away with this type of business dealings. What should we do about it ??? ##### and complain .... to who ??? Don’t blame to some one who is willing to work hard and honest to support their families.
Do something about it or stop blaming someone for your own failures!!

Fat people can’t be discriminated against because there are no protections for fat people.

I knew a guy named Rodney that claimed to have a fat girlfriend.

“She’s so fat! One day she wore high heels. She struck oil!”

    She was ugly too!

“I took her to the beach and a guy walks up and asks “What did you use for bait?”

It’s probably not so much as being fat but if your blood pressure is through the roof or if there’s anything in your urine that shouldn’t be there, like blood or excessive sugar than that will disqualify you. If a sleep apnea test is ordered I recommend you get to your doctor for options. I resisted for a long time against the previous “sleep testing” craze started by FMCSA if requiring drivers over a certain BMI to get tested. I flatly refused to beleive in such a thing, I slept fine with no problem.... except I didn’t realky heed the warning signs and was slamming at least one or two energy drinks a day. I went to an ENT/sleep medicine specialist referred by my doctor and I was able to get the testing and treatment covered by me health insurance. I was surprised to learn I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. Unfortunately my family has a history of loud snoring so my problem was partially hereditary, but I ignored that for a long time as well. My partner finally admitted to me that I do snore badly at times but held back because she thought I was get too anxious. I finally went for the CPAP treatment and it really has improved my quality of sleep. I did have a week long period a couple years ago when I had a couple of teeth pulled were I couldn’t use the machine and after that it was obvious what a difference it made.

The sleep testing is not required, just work somewhere else. It may be required by the company, but it not from the Fed's. These companies also do not pay for the testing, they typically charge the driver for it. I would not work for one of them. JMHO.

My employer actually pays for it. And they supply the CPAP and all the necessary equipment. As long as it’s used a minimum of 4 hours, you’ll stay within compliance.

Lol I can’t read it all funny tho.....I support BMI all the way it is disgusting to see how some driver let them selves go I’m not in tip top shape but some driver make us look bad . If u ask some one what the stereotypical truck driver looks like they will tell u a big fat burly blob. And a horrific sight to look at . With dem cotton shorts stuck in their arse ... boot them all. I hope dot makes to where it’s a fed requirement... I’ll get top dollar rates for sure ...Go BMI Go!!!!!!!
