I called but I’m not sure about the sliding pay scale system. $1.22-1.44 seems a little low to me

Add in the fuel surcharge plus they pay for all tolls, license plates, permits, and more benefits.

I’ll have to let our O/Os address that but I’ve heard a number of them say more ancillary items are paid here plus they do keep us rolling pretty good so you are not dealing with 2,000 mile weeks here like you mentioned where you’re at now.

And just awesome folks to deal with. From recruiting to dispatch to shops to breakdown to safety… rarely have we heard a cross word about too many folks.

sure, it’s not perfect but things run pretty smooth around here most of the time. I’m currently hitting a few back to back broker loads which is dropping my daily miles today and tomorrow due to strict appointment times but like I told my DM, we all know it’s trucking but thankfully these days don’t come around all that often. Let alone two days in a row. It’s trucking. It’s my turn to take one for the team. Hit a short patch of low miles for whatever reason. I’ll be back rolling here soon. Back to normal.

Again, I’ll let the actual O/Os address your Owner specific concerns.

It’s a good place, with great people.

Sure the base pay seems low, but we get the national average fuel surcharge, a great fuel discount (I fueled today and got $1.06 off the pump price) Base plates and permits paid, tolls paid. My dedections on most weeks are only $129.00. They don’t nickle and dime you with all the BS fees.

I can still take home over $4K a week here when I’m not sitting in a shop somewhere.

Got my first stop off in Amarillo easy peasy. Got a decent way into New Mexico and pulled into Roswell for the night. I’ll get my 2nd stop off tomorrow in El Paso and the last two most likely on Thursday which puts me just north of Austin. I’ve had 3 days in a row with 620+ miles driven, which is a nice change.

Do you guys think that I’ll be abducted by aliens here?

I doubt it, but sleep on your back to prevent any glowing fingers looking to do some, shall we say, "exploring"

I've dealt with that crap too, but those XL HDG trailers are cooler than the other side of the pillow. 55 ton trailer and it was easier to adjust than most normal spread axles. Add in the optional HONDA pony motor with ELECTRIC start, maaaan, that's LIVIN.

Likely going to hopefully get a Apu Monday if everything works out right. Saving on fuel and saving wear and tear on the engine and emissions. I have two options buy a Apu from FCC and have carrier install it for $4-5k or go to Altoona Pa for a used Apu called go green Apu for $3700 installed. I don't know a lot about this one but the price is good and they have a few dealers on our routes if I need service. One being in MO.
