Going thru ND is 65 miles shorter, MSP traffic is not that bad. I run this all the time

 

When I have to run from the PNW towards northern OH or PA, I will often take 90 all the way to Albert Lea, MN then 35 down to Clear Lake, IA and grab US-18 to US-218 to I-380 thru Cedar Rapids down to I-80 then across. It's all 4 lane and almost all 65ish mph, and almost traffic free except Cedar Rapids.

 

Blowing dust warnings in western KS. They’re reporting near zero visibility on most highways. Be careful if you’re in that area and pull over if necessary.

I-70 is also closed between CO state line and Colby due to dust

 

Looking at traffic cams on KanDrive website and the wind is so bad that it’s shaking the cameras around

 

camera didn’t show it when i took the screenshot but there’s some vehicles plus a semi in the median just off camera to the left

 

I've heard that the reason it gets windy in KS is because Nebraska sucks and Oklahoma blows

 

Made it to Lockwood MT with 1 hour and 20 left on my 70. Next truck stop is 1 hour 40 minutes away. I’ll be night trucking soon as my hours rollover which is fine by me with Chicago in my future. You road warriors have any insight on what Troy, PA puts me in the area of for a reload?

 

Add some 1/3 cup ammonia to your window cleaner and windshield washer fluid the bugs will melt off
