One thing I have noticed is depending on the terrain and the weight of the load it’s feast or famine. I’ve had light loads where according to the dash I’m getting 9+ mpg and I’m drowning in fuel and will skip 1-2 fuel stops then with heavy loads when I’m running over mountains I’ll do the last 40 to 80 miles with the low fuel light on.

I had that for orientation. It’s certainly nice, but I’m not smart enough to figure out all the toys. I like my creature comforts but I kinda miss the old cars where everything isn’t trying to be an iPhone. Just give me switches with labels rather than a touch screen and a bunch of buttons with IKEA symbols on them. A lot of it is just weird for the sake of being weird. I really don’t know what problem they are solving with making the gearshift a microwave knob on the dash instead of a simple handle on the right side of the steering column.
If you’ll excuse me, I have some clouds to verbally abuse and some children who need to be ordered off of my lawn.

At least your truck is new enough they won’t have to blend in the paint. They can probably just get new panels and paint them off the truck then replace them fairly quickly. Fitzgerald Collision has a good YouTube channel and it’s amazing how fast they can turn around repairs on Cascadias.

Oh I totally agree. But why would something “begin” to seem to get out of whack?

I will make a mindful note to try to take that into account and see if that explains it.

Just as an example for this load, I fueled up in Ina IL which is the regular cheap fuel on this lane but, with 400 miles left on this run, it had me stop in Knox for 60 gallons and I only took on 35 and that was to tippy top it off just to feel like it was worth stopping. :)

Not complaining at all as I probably do need to get out of the truck more often to stretch the legs and flex the back, but something’s just get my noggin to wonder just what the logic is behind the solutions.

Heading home tonight after the drop in Columbia SC for Monday and Tuesday off the road and out of this truck… so y’all stay safe out here.

On my last hometime I was on my way to go tell somebody to get off my lawn...until my wife stopped me and told me that it was the guy we hired to mow our yard... :laughing-guffaw:...

Money, money, money. Some locations give a steep discount, fueling there saves the company at the next place you NEED fuel you’ll put on less of the expensive stuff.

Oh I get the overall concept. I do, totally. And all for buying cheap fuel. LOL It’s not that part that is making me look at the Solution odd. :)
