OTR has been pretty strong for me the past few months minus a couple days here and there

 

Finally got an ad trailer after 10 months here. Pretty sure it’s going to be traded soon (it’s 13 years young). But it seems like it’ll do for a traveling companion for a day or two.

 

Watch the weather tonight gents. I’m in Nebraska City at Sapp Bros and it’s getting interesting.

 

just curious how long do you stay out for them to be fine with 6 days off?

 

3.5 weeks. never had a problem when i schedule 5-6 days off. Usually i only take five if i’m out 3.5 weeks but once in awhile i like to take 1 or two extra days off

 

most of the time i alternate between 20 on/4 off and 25 on/5 off. Sometimes i’ll be out shorter or longer then that and will schedule hometime accordingly, but that’s what works best for me. I like being out longer periods of time to make decent money but i also don’t want to burn myself out either. I basically operate on a 1 day off for every 5 worked principle and have never heard a word about it from the company

I could get home every couple weeks if i wanted to on OTR but that isn’t the best way to make money

 

Nobody here must talk to anyone who went to the meeting on Saturday morning since they news hasn’t dropped. There isn’t going to be an awards banquet this year.

Cutting costs. Tim said other than Covid they cut it in 2008 so there’s a good comparison of the industry as a whole.
