    We get paid.92 on empty miles, that was to cover excessive dead head. Go away you SSOS.

    For a lot of us being able to set our own schedule and take of when and however long we want far outweighs getting paid full driver’s wages for a long deadhead.

    I'm guessing the extra is to make up for the lack of the fuel surcharge money that companies don't usually pay on empty miles? (Serious question, I'm not trying to be a SSOS too)

    10 years ago i might’ve been an O/O, but not now. The price of maintenance costs alone is bad enough these days

    Basically the emissions on these new trucks are the biggest problems anymore…without all this dpf/def crap these trucks wouldn’t be having all these issues..

    That is correct we only get fuel surcharge on loaded miles unless it is excessive deadhead
