It came thru Topeka with a vengeance. None of the traffic lights from off 470 down 75 to Home Depot were working. Naturally the brunt of it came when I was trying to swap trailers.

They are working towards a complete upgrade. Three Lanes coming southeast from Asheville and Three Lanes coming northwest from Charleston.

Took the opportunity to stop at the Black Bear Diner in Tonopah AZ after fueling and getting a mudflap replaced…

Cajun Pesto Salmon on a bed of spinach and sliced cherry tomatoes, small parmesan corn on the cob, and smashed red potatoes with gravy…

best meal I’ve had OTR in a very long time… worth the wait getting it to the table…

And they’ve started on the expansion going west. In a few years it will be 3 lanes each direction from York to Iowa. Then it will be choked back down because Iowa won’t do anything. Lol.
