FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I usually only go out of my way to take Thanksgiving off, which usually means i have Christmas off because of how i like to run

 

I’ve pretty much set myself up to run that way specifically, all doctor appointments for myself or the kids are scheduled around 25th-30th of each month to include Thanksgiving and Christmas.

 

Used to take food grade salt in their back when I pulled a pneumatic. Their hookup was to the left after the guard shack over by that row of docks. There was a ramp going into the building and we weren’t allowed to block it, so we ended up blocking about 3 dock doors and the hostler drivers would get all twisted up about it.

 

I feel like a western regional driver or something now. Dropped in Victorville and went down to Kawasaki to get loaded going to J&C in Wilmer, TX. Dispatch asked me if i could do a favor and since i’m too nice to say no, after they finish loading me here, I am to take an empty to load over in Vernon that’s going Utah. Then i take it back to Kawasaki to drop in their yard and rehook to my Wilmer load and head back east. Hopefully i don’t get caught up too much in LA traffic but it’s a Friday before a holiday so i’m not too optimistic.

Also had to call Nick in safety since the Transflo app on my tablet has been on the fritz. It hasn’t been notifying me of new messages or loads so we were on the phone for 15-20 minutes while he changed around some settings and stuff. Apparently my tablet is way out of date for some reason so the plan is to swap it out for one that’s good and ready to go whenever i can swing by Fremont

 

I thought that about traffic yesterday leaving the LAX area...left the customer a little after 13:00 it took me 2.5 hrs to get to our yard in Rancho Cucamonga (60 miles away). SoCal sucks!!! I don't know how people live in this part of the country.

 

Or the northeast or mid Atlantic…

 

Or Dallas!

 

Ever since mine updated itself last week I’ve been having the same issue. Mine might be due for a swap out as well it sounds like.
