I’d make a joke here but freezing rain is nasty ####. Not enough tire tread, careful driving or experience will keep the interstate from becoming a slip n slide

Took a few hours to get empty in Salem so I couldn’t make it to Port Angeles before they closed so was there first thing the next morning then had to wait 5 hours to get loaded so I was unable to get to Evansville by noon Friday which punted delivery to Monday.
So they decided (at the last second naturally) to have me drop it in Lincoln and grab a load from Aurora.
Managed to just stay ahead of the Ice Capades and shut down in Forest City, Missouri. Heading towards Columbia, SC then grabbing a BD load from Sumter to Plainfield, IN.

Isn’t it fun how one SNAFU inevitably leads to another which leads to another, etc

I was gonna shut down early in Washington last night but took a look at future radar and decided that it would be in my best interests to get over 4th of July and Lookout. That being said, it appears that Iowa is now the one dealing with freezing rain. A lot of yellow on the map but thankfully not much red

Now i wait. Woke up an hour ago but i can’t leave until a quarter after 8

You should be able to stay ahead of the next system that’s coming in behind you. It’s affecting northern California in Oregon area. I believe today and moving east. I’m not sure how far north it’s gonna affect

I came over Homestake pass east of Butte, clear and above freezing until the very top. However, if you're light, Livingston is WINDY. They had the sign lit up for light trailers to detour thru town. I have 39k lbs, of Genie machines on a regular flatbed and it was pushing me around. There were vans and reefers going thru instead if bypassing, so if you're light, hang on tight.

That’s why I always say that a multiple SNAFU leads to a FUBAR Situation.

I’m at a rest area west of Missoula and it snowed a little bit but stopped. Traffic appears to still be moving at a decent clip though. I saw a couple plow trucks so i know the roads have been treated
