I said I’d go to Menomonie or Eau Claire on Monday. I’ll see what I end up with to leave the house.

they can’t drive worth a darn on a dry day in TEXAS.... I just drove from Needles, to Foothill Ranch, to Ontario, and stopped in Barstow. Saw more traffic than anywhere in Dallas... did not see a SINGLE crash. If I had driven over 100 miles around Dallas/Ft Worth, I would have seen at LEAST 3 crashes. There are times I have seen multiple crashes between Plano and Dallas, or Rockwall and Mesquite.

Sold my truck today to a gentleman from Hastings, he came down to Fremont to see the truck. He will come back tomorrow with a certified bank check and will drive away with a truck that has been good to me for the last 4 years.

Late Monday or Tuesday I will drive a rental car to Charlotte to pick up my new to me truck, a former Walmart truck. I’ve had the salesman keeping his eyes open for a truck that met my criteria. I wanted a low mileage truck, that had a diesel fired APU, with low engine hours. About three weeks ago he found three that met my criteria. I put a deposit down on one to hold it, and will finally get to take delivery of it next week.

A snag just came up. Trainer had an emergency and won’t be available to train me. I hope he’s ok. I’ll be praying for him and whatever situation he has going on. This is a huge disappointment. Well, maybe another trainer will have someone who cancels. I really only wanted to drive for Fremont and nobody else. We’ll see what happens.

I'm not in a massive hurry, gonna split my available hours the next two days in half and just run 8.5 hours or so tomorrow and Sunday. I will try to come up through KS after most of the snowfall is over.

Congratulations! So, I take it you were pretty happy with the International since you are getting another. The last International I dealt with was a 2011 or 12 with a Maxxforce and it never left me on the side of the road but was definitely troublesome. I hope they have gotten better, they are due for some good years. The first pickup truck I bought was a 72 International 1010 and I loved that thing.
First assigned truck was a 98 9800, never was on the hook, but it broke a lot (after 700k miles of Schneider trainees it had an excuse).

Drivers no load is worth putting yourself or the equipment at risk. Stay safe in this storm.

Good luck buddy. That’s some low mileage. Is that normal for a Walmart fleet truck? Wishing you nothing but safe profitable miles ahead.
