I would like to schedule a trip please. Take me back to before I worked for my current company so I can NOT fill out their application.

Knowing Mr. Musk, he is probably working on one in the back rooms of Tesla.

Hello folks. I have been in contact with FCC regarding coming on board. A few questions that I would like to ask here of forum members, to get some opinions/experience of anyone willing to share:

I would be applying for Southwest Regional, and live in a large freight market within that territory. I have 15 months experience, all recent and all dry van at a starter company. The following items were discussed:

    1) Was told $0.52 starting base pay. That surprised me, but then I did remember several reviews mentioning that FCC can be found lower on the pay scale as opposed to higher.
    2) FCC would want me to go with a trainer initially. I didn't catch "for how long" that would be, as the conversation didn't go very far regarding that topic. It was said that the job posting indicates that 18 months experience is needed. I sure don't see that particular info anywhere on the job posting on the website.
    3) driver facing camera for 6 months. Am I correct in believing that most FCC drivers do NOT have a driver facing camera in their trucks? Or am I mistaken and basing that on older reviews, when in fact the policy has changed company-wide?
    4) Was told approx 70% drop and hook, and 2500-2800 miles a week with 34-48 hours home each weekend. Do those numbers seem accurate for Southwest Regional as things stand currently?

Just wondering if all of this seems in line with what others have experienced. Working for a good company, with good people that don't micromanage drivers is important to me. So, I would likely favor lower pay at a good company as opposed to a bit higher CPM at a lousy company.

I have enjoyed reading the most recent 20 or so pages of this forum, and appreciate the input and information that has been shared.

How long does everyone show for a end of day post trip inspection? I have been running good. Dallas to Savannah and now Savannah to Topeka. So far so good.
