Here's a quick rundown of some new to me places
Tricam c/o CDC Richmond Hill, GA
You want to go in the first driveway on your left after turning off of Belfast Keller Road. It will look like you are going into the car lot, but the truck drive splits off the the left just after you turn in, the signs you'll be looking at are for Belfast Logistics (they are in the side nearer to the road, CDC is in the far end). Go through two gates all the way to the end of the lot and the shipping office is inside. Walk through the door and immediately turn left and go into the shipping office.
Trucker path pointed to the second driveway as the entrance, but that's the Belfast Logistics receiving entrance. The gates to the CDC side of the lot open about 8 AM. They do have a driver's bathroom next to the shipping office. They are appointment only but will load early.
Icon health and fitness Pooler, GA
At the end of the street entering the lot stop at the guard shack. The guard will tell you the door to go to. Red Light Green Light go the driver's door to the left end of the docks (as you are looking at them from the guard shack).
The building sign says "iFit." No bathrooms, I had an appointment but went in several hours early and was loaded in 20 odd minutes, took about 45 minutes to get paperwork.
Kreate Findlay, Ohio
Turn in in the angled drive (Garmin insists it's a no truck route and will cry, but it is signed as the truck entrance). Sign says Findlay Machine and Tool. Stop in the drop lot and walk up to the driver's entrance (to the right of the docks you are looking at [doors 1 and 2]). Tandems forward not back.
FCFS, pretty quick for me. No bathrooms but there is a porta john near the driver's entrance. Google reviews claim you can park overnight, I didn't see any signs forbidding it but as always you pays your money you takes your chances.Friend, runningman0661, hotrod1653 and 2 others Thank this. -
Been a while since I updated the travelog. First trip out of the gate with the new truck I rann to ES3 in York, PA. Got there when they opened and was empty before my appointment time, sat for a couple hours waiting for a reload then got a Carlisle to Joliet. Since then I've been bouncing between mostly between Georgia and Kansas/Nebraska with a little bit of Indiana/Illinois/Ohio mixed in for variety. Lots of Bovine socks and Home Despot.
My physical expires July 9, which totally snuck up on me. I thought it was near the end of the month. I have a doctor's appointment on the 7th in Indiana so I was scheduled to get home on the 3rd and come out on the 8th. So we've been trying to get the stars to align to get it done before I go home. I couldn't make it in time for the last appointment they had available on the 20th and I wasn't going to make it up here until Saturday this week so the plan originally was for me to grab a load out of Crete Friday going to Chewy in Mt Juliet, but that couldn't go in until Monday morning which would put me back in Nebraska probably Wednesday and I didn't like the odds of getting an appointment set for Thursday (ie the day before a 3 day weekend). DM was with me on that but there was nothing else in the hopper so we decided to have me stay put and get it done Monday (which also meant another driver got to run instead of sitting all weekend).
The new truck got its first service done Saturday. Discovered after that that the shore power connection doesn't work. While I was writing this post the APU stopped running. So there will be couple things to bring up Monday morning when Travis gets in which I'm sure will delight him. Once I get back from the Physical I have to take the truck over to Freightliner in Omaha. Both west coast mirrors have a distortion in the glass so they are kinda like Funhouse mirrors where stuff in the center of the mirror is tall and skinny and the outer edges are short and fat. Once that's fixed I imagine I will probably be headed to the house, though depending on the Freight Gods that could be a circuitous path.Last edited: Jun 29, 2025
Friend Thanks this. -
I loaded at that place in Findlay a few times. It was only bad once, and the worker inside said it was because they were waiting on product to be brought over from another warehouse. The other times it didn’t take long at all to get loaded.

It doesn't help that A) Kawasaki is shut down for retooling and B) Crete is running 12 hours behind for who knows what reason
Don't ask me how I know the latter. I should've taken up my dispatcher on the offer just to go home on Friday. Yesterday was a complete #### show both for me personally and work as well. Thankfully I'll be officially home on the 3rd -

For what it’s worth, it’s not just trucks now although all the computers just add to it. When I got a brand new KW in 2005, and 2008, and the new 2017 KW glider, they all had to go back to the dealer for various little things.

My passenger mirror is the only distorted. I gotta get its 1st service done on tue. Maybe cb can fix it and straighten my steering wheel. I hate driving with the wheel angled.
