FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Been a tough couple of days, two near misses on accidents because of others blatant stupidity. Yesterday near Louisville on I265 near the I71 split some lady in the middle lane decided she needed to exit, came to a complete stop in front of me, and then cut over to exit. By the grace of God I got the truck stopped before hitting her.

Then today on I80 in a construction zone a semi coming into traffic from the entrance ramp never even looked in his mirror and came on out in front of me if hadn’t stood on the brakes and dove towards the median he would have taken my hood off. In both instances the drivers were oblivious to the chaos they nearly caused. I despise the occupation more every day.

Now they can’t seem to find me a load to get me home for my scheduled home time, so I’ve made the executive decision (not necessarily a smart business decision) that if they don’t have a load by 0800 tomorrow I’m bouncing 1100 miles to the house.

 

Fuel cost will be about $353, so no.

 

The folks in Fremont came through this morning with a Crete load going to Cullman. I’ll get home a day late, but will still make it to my great grandsons 1st birthday on Saturday.
