FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Dropped in Sioux City, picked up a loaded trailer in Sioux City and took it down to our yard in Council Bluffs for another driver. Then I went over to Omaha and picked up a two stopper for Monday. The first stop is near Scranton, Pa. and the 2nd stop is just out side of NYC near the 87/287 split. After getting those two stops off on Monday they have me preplanned on a load picking up in Linden, NJ going to the twin cities for a Wednesday delivery. From there I should get a load back down to Nebraska, and then a load to get me home for Christmas. I asked to be home Saturday the 23rd.

 

I should, I will be have a better idea tomorrow. Snow is coming into the I29 and I35 corridors, so If i can get empty tomorrow and reloaded back towards Nebraska early tomorrow I should be in decent shape.

 

So today hasn’t gone as smoothly as I was hoping. I delivered in Omaha this morning and was supposed to pick up a trailer off of the yard in Fremont getting me home by Saturday morning. I get to the Fremont yard, and don’t see the trailer I’m supposed to be picking up, come to find out it’s still sitting in Broken Bow 172 miles away, a driver is on the way to pick it up and bring it to me, but with his availabile hours he can’t make it all the way to Fremont. So we decide to meet in Columbus at the Sapp brothers. It’s has been blowing snow and icing all afternoon, so the driver bringing me the load had some rough conditions to deal with. He showed up about about 1830. I will leave out about 0230, and should get home Saturday about 1400.

I had planned on leaving back out Tuesday, but since I’m getting in late, I will leave back out Wednesday. I hope everyone has a great Christmas with your loved ones.
