I kind of wish they would just ask for volunteers to take a few extra days off during times like this.
My next pickup was four hours and then because of that I’m running very tight to get to a FCFS Live Unload by 1530 today. If I don’t, I’ll be babysitting this load until 0630 tomorrow.
Luckily it’s downhill the whole way and running with a stiff breeze behind me… well, I hope so anyway… LOL
stay safedwells40, bzinger, BigR and 1 other person Thank this. -
As to equipment, yes, FCC does certainly take good care of their equipment. And get several good years of safe use from their trailers. I’m sure that helps at the time of resale too.
That was one, of many, of the reasons that I was so impressed with FCC right off the bat. And I stress many as I was just overwhelmed with several.
No Company is perfect and each of us could nit pic a few things but I just completed my third year here and have no interest in testing the waters elsewhere. -
You still have that old Kenworth? If you do, surely it's getting near the time that FCC trades or sells it.MidWest_MacDaddy, dwells40 and bzinger Thank this.

Does anyone know where i can put this broom other than here? I tried hanging one on the back of the cab but it fell off never to be seen again on the first pothole I hit on I-40 in AZ.
Yes i know i need to take my handvac to my floors -
Unscrew it and put it in a sidebox. When I pulled a box, I gave up on brooms and bought a cheap rechargeable leaf blower. Most of the battery chargers for them will charge off a normal inverter that companies install to run a microwave.

I leave the broom attached and can still fit it in my side box handle in first.

After delivering the tires in Omaha yesterday, I bounced to CB and grabbed a trailer that originated in Ct. going out to Holdrege. Grabbed a loaded trailer at the same customer going out to Redlands, Ca. for Friday afternoon. When dispatch assigned the load to me I told them it would be tight do to recap hours. They understood and said they would repower the load if it looked like I wouldn’t make it.
