All the mom & pop outfits I know of are not 1099 s
I don’t consider broken English speaking Boris and Natasha 1099 companies .. mom & pop outfits
Just a observation but your demands .. you should probably work for a LTL company your union dues will solidify your demands I hear Yellow freight has openings

 

My demands have already been met. I pull tankers for a medium sized company. I’m not gonna give up perks for an ungoverned long nose. That’s about all someone’s gonna get with these Craigslist trucking companies.

The things I listed are things that all big companies offer. How does a 401k and paid holidays equate a union mentality?

 

That’s good, but I’m about as anti mega as you could get. Schneider was okay, Knight was a dumpster fire. There’s a happy medium in this industry.

 

And again every mom & pop company I know of doesn’t need to advertise on CL to get drivers and yes some of them run ungoverned hoods I’ve pulled a lot loads over the years for mom & pop companies and have yet to ever get burned by one
If you do some research on this forum you will see 90% of the threads on here are white Volvo Chicagoland area companies owned by foreign identities
So before you start hating on all the mom & pop outfits you should really do more reading and less finger pointing
