Shoot, there was a article out of Zero Hedge that demonstrated new overtime laws just imposed and how a Business can create a Nuetral situation in payroll costs by reclassification and other tidbits and tricks to club the seals and keep morale high after the financial beatings.

I am not sure how many use Glassdoor.com, but they are reporting trucking wages are up, and they get their data from folks behind the wheel that fill out how much they make, and you can rate the company you drive for, and if you recommend them or not. Indeed has something similar. The problem with both of these sites, they do not separate company drivers from L/P, O/O, and it does not figure in the perdiem some companies offer, nor do they ask how much per mile, and how many miles average. I doubt they understand the industry enough to ask the right questions.

My wages have gone down. So has every oil and gas hauler around these parts.
Freight rates have gone WAY down with the cheaper fuel.
Only raise i ever got, was a local construction company of 7 years. To which i had to leave when the economy crashed due to 25% cut in hours. Not only was the OT gone. I was lucky if i worked more then 35 hours.
Had to hit the road again, due to wages dropping from $16 to $10.rabbiporkchop, Eldiablo, diesel drinker and 3 others Thank this.
