Are you still with them? How is it going there? I am considering them, but I wish they had a rider and pet policy.

At Crete / Hunt / Shaffer, they shovel BS with a gold plated stable shovel.

I thought about Poly also. I learned through 'back channels' they are done with your application in a few days. What they are doing is trying to see if you will be patient enough to let them screw with you. If you don't get mad and let them do what they want, they will.

I do hear they are a good, stable company, but the 48 cents per mile doesn't mean much when you're only getting an average of 2,200 mile per week.

Wow...Seawind! Tell us more. Back channels must be a good source of information. I can only guess they have more information than the previous 159 pages of this thread. What else are we missing out on with Poly? There has to be more they're not telling us here. I'm almost getting confused because I can't tell who you're asking all these questions. Then you give out information like your giving us answers about Poly. You've got this thread blowing up now! Lol

    Give us more...:)

As far as them taking time to hire...I think there are other possibilities other than them screwing with people. Unless I'm wrong, the same HR department hires ALL Poly's employees, not just drivers. So, considering the size of the various manufacturing facilities, warehouses and the transportation/distribution departments, not to mention office and sales people...Poly has a lot of positions, so I'm guessing they're busy in HR. I mean, the trucking side of things only has a couple hundred trucks, and probably a couple hundred applications to process for the few openings that pop up. So they can pick and choose who works for them, and I'd be willing to bet the drivers location has something to do with who they choose. I mean, I wouldn't hire tons of drivers from the same general region of the country, that way when it comes to home time they don't have an area where there are drivers heading, taking time off, then have to book freight to get them moving again, along with loads for the other drivers that don't live there that covered freight into the area while the drivers were home.

SS you hit the nail on the head. It's amazing what can be learned by paying attention to previous posts.

Seawind should get hired then since he is getting backdoor info action and knows how poly works.

As I said before my was hire was not complicated nor was i put through hoops but as we know everyone is case by case. I never even had to call them and the biggest wait was on my part and that was getting my hometime so I could do my interview and the two week notice I gave. Even so from app to in truck was like 6 weeks.

Im headed to Kentucky for my backhaul to Houston. Hoping for poltex to gp as im about due for pm. Im still glad I came to poly.

    LilRobWayne and jdrentzjr Thank this.
