I discovered Dawn dish detergent when washing my chemical soaked coveralls. Never measured how much I used just squirt a good amount into the washer and they came out smelling good and clean. A few deep soakings took two wash cycles but most only required one.

Lol, indeed we do. If you attend a driver's safety meeting. Enough to last all year.

I heard GO-JO hand cleaner works as well as WD40....not sure if that wouldn't smell just as bad though

Just looked at my numbers for 2013. Drive 136,711 paid miles & grossed over $70k. During the year I took 4 weeks of unpaid vacation time. The 4 weeks is in addition to the few days of off time due to breakdown, out of hours, & waiting on freight.

Did I mention I love my job?

Honestly, Dawn never crossed my mind but any time there is an oil spill you see the news reports and advertising showing the people cleaning the wildlife with it...and diesel is the end result of crude oil...I will give it a shot...

as well as driver appreciation week. During the drivers meeting they gave me double because the sooner the truck was empty, the sooner they could leave. I had 1 indoor trash bag full of indoor rolls and an outdoor bag 1/2 full of outdoor bags.

Before I answer this...a word of caution to anyone who has seen my rants, raves and occasional temper tantrums...please find a seat before reading the following. Keep the smelling salts handy!

Unequivocally, whole heartedly, absolutely H-E-double toothpick YES! Although I have had my ups and downs...my bumps and grumps. I am as content with my job and my company choice as I have ever been in my 20+ years in trucking. While the statement that JD made so long ago is true, Poly isn't perfect, and it's not the company for everyone...I have found a company I can retire from if they continue to run things the way they do.

I know I had my doubts at first...and showed my lack of patience in the beginning...I am hitting my stride and am having fun. That doesn't mean I won't spout off and blow off steam or vent some when something gets too me...(shoot, if someone dropped a 2lb solid gold deuce in my lap, I'd complain because they didn't clean it off) but I will stay as long as they'll have me.

The turning point was back in November. I was home, contemplating my future here wondering if I had made a mistake. I was constantly swapping trucks, having issues with the timing on when to call to get set up on my next load and feeling pretty low. Until....my wife dope slapped me and showed me the check book. It was mid November, she had just paid the last bill for the entire month and there was still money left, and another paycheck on the way. Then, after the 2nd drivers meeting I got to sit down and talk face to face with JD and Majestyk over dinner and got to hear their experiences and see how they have dealt with similar problems and how well they've progressed since then. It all helped keep me focused and hopeful that things ARE going to work out.

It all comes down to the fact that 1) even with the problems, I am making a living without running myself to death. 2) while Poly isn't perfect, they trust me to do the job they hired me to do without following me around double checking to make sure I did it right and don't second guess the decisions I make. 3) I don't have restrictions like forced fuel solutions, idle limits or routing issues.

My overall opinion is that JD was right...Poly is trucking like it use to be...and should be. I believe they are 10x the company that Crete every thought about being on their best day.

In fact the only regret I have in coming here is...I didn't come here years ago

How did I beat you to the Love's yesterday? When I pulled in I didn't see your truck but I saw it with a do not disturb sign on it this a.m. when I was leaving.
