I didn't like backing up in the new Pete at all at first. After a month in it and a few hard backs at shipper/receivers you get use to it. Never going to be as easy as it was with the pro star but I don't even think about it now. Hopefully it will end up being the same for you. Also if there is a creeper mode on these I don't know how to get it to work lol. I heard a driver in the terminal saying you could get the shop to activate it or something but I think he was full of crap.

I appreciate it! We live about 30 miles north of Tampa and i have family 5 minutes down the road to help the wife and kids if need be. In a day or two they all may just have to go north but we will see. Thanks again.

There's nothing to activate, at least in the Freightliner. Just put it in gear and lightly tap the accellerator once. Lol

Creep mode sounds like something they teach kids in school nowadays when it comes to strangers.

Does it engage pretty much how I described the Freightliner? Just curious.

Got a load Friday headed to Monrovia Maryland for Monday morning delivery which I'm there now. 3201 miles in the 6 days i left the house according to the Qualcomm. My backhaul has 2 pick ups one in jersey and one in virginia headed to farmers branch Texas for friday. A little time on the pick ups which is fine, because I'll be running recap and need some time. I'll probably reset my hours on Friday and Saturday and take a load for Sunday. Good week for me.

I got word there's a software update ready for the Pete's that helps with the backing. I don't remember the terminology but I know it's a quick thing. Don't have to write the truck up just go to the shop. Or wait until your service and they will do it automatically. I'm just going to wait for my next service because I'm fine with how it backs.
