I ended up splitting the load with another local load. That left me pushing hard for time to be at my appointment on time. I took 76 from Harrisburg to 476, crossed Commodore Barry bridge, then in to Vineland.
Going around Philly to a delivery in Vineland, NJ at 0800

Always something to dabble in your well built cake to ruin it.
IF they split your load into two trucks so that two people can get paid something, then that is a work shortage not a driver shortage.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
You pay the toll or your carrier pay it?
That pa turnpike is $$$$$Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
Dropped Load 1 at terminal.
Picked up Load 2.
Brought load 2 to terminal.
Re-hooked to load 1.
Delivered Load 1
Drove back to terminal, and picked up load 2. -
I haven't paid a toll yet with Crete, either as a company driver, or a o/o, but I normally do my best to avoid 76 unless I am explicitly routed on it, or I am really tight on timing.
If I started rolling 76 every chance I got, I suspect the company would make it's irritation known. -

I admit I don't know the current tolls for a 80000 big rig on PA Pike border to border however in my time we could and did run it 150 or so dollars in storm situations where it's a chance of getting stuck, towed etc. IN an OH imposed additional tolling as well. Otherwise we ran one of several US Highways across

So Gateway to Harrisburg East comes to 206 cash, 150 Prepass.
Fuel burn will be about 120.00 Dollars.
That's where US 322 comes in again, but with storm exception.Farmerbob1 Thanks this.
