Just as an aside, I took the toll-free route out along US highways, back to Harrisburg. It took more than an hour and a half longer. So much construction. So Many slowzones. If I had tried to come in that way, I would not have left early enough. Right now it's a terriblecrap route.

    Im sorry to hear that.

Ive been away long enough to actually forget just how long they have been milking the Government teat on a pothole somwhere in the freeway for 20 years.

That's why you foreigners need to rent trucks when you fly here to visit. The crappy renta fits will not endure the abuses in potholes.

I have also witnessed first hand a growing number of tractor trailers with lo profile tires. I don't know how to express sizes that small in numbers, they would have to look like 18.5's and only god knows what ply they skipped out on all the way around. Have you seen the gaps between the top of tire and bottom of 5th wheel plate? It will make a mockery of all that fancy aerodynamic BS that they managed to hang on these poor trucks.

What route did you take? I could always make it from Woodstown, NJ to Gap, Pa in under 45 mintues. If i’m remembering correctly it was 2.5hrs or 3hrs from State College to Woodstown. This was running 283/30/41 into De. Now taking 30 across to 100-202-322 and coming over the Commadore i did when i was working up in Glouster county, but that route was better ran after 7-8pm. To much traffic in the day light, it was still quicker to drop down & go thru De.

The route I took included US 322 and US 30. It would not have been so bad if about 40 miles of it wasn't torn apart by construction. It looks like when they finish the construction, the route won't be bad at all, though there will still be towns and slowdowns.
