Why I would never do a team operation, I'd consider yourself lucky. I've never heard of this, and probably pretty rare. When I fell off my bike, face first on the cement, my sunglasses did the most damage. Big cut, and they don't do stitches anymore, but used, are you sitting down? Super Glue, for medical applications, I'm sure. It sealed the cut, and came off in a few days. Must have been a big bump, eh?

When I trained with my company, I did all the driving. My trainer only drove if I ran out of time and we wanted to make it to a stop. When I reached my required miles and didn't have a truck assigned yet, he mentioned we might team drive for a while. We never did. But the bottom bunk was his and I never slept with the truck moving. Seems he should've let you use the bottom if you were running teams.

What do you do? Get it treated and keep it moving.

report it to company so it is on record as a work injury.

then if further medical treatment is needed, it will be covered under workmans comp.

That’s a rough way to get started in trucking. Freightliner doesn’t even have the seatbelt things on top bunk. I don’t think anyone is supposed to sleep in top bunk when truck is moving. Not sure why some truck manufacturers put the seat belts in top bunk. Maybe just driver when parked they won’t roll out of bed. When I was training and a trainer nobody was to sleep in top bunk when moving.

I figured that out on my way to the office.

Come on, you're tough, just put duct tape on it, cover it with that trucker cowboy hat, and keep trucking.

Trucking is all about the scars you get while messing around playing Super Trucker.

Seriously, Yep you need to get stitches but I would also report it to the company. Do that asap.
