You got your scam backwards. What you want to do is put in a 100 gallon auxiliary tank in the pickup truck and fill it with tax free diesel fuel and drive over to your big truck and transfer the 100 gallons a couple time a week...... I heard......

I want to remember listening to a guy tell me once that that was how it was designed. Use it once and that red got into the whole fuel system. You also have to pull the bottom plug on the tank and flush all that red dye out while cleaning the fuel system because just a small bit left in the bottom of the tank puts that red crap right back.

We finally got it all out but the shop guys said it was a major PITA. I couldn't find anybody at EPA or CARB that would tell me how much or how little residue from a deal like that would be permissible so we made sure there was none. And no, I didn't give my name or company when I talked to the government boys.

A lot of the fuel stops in North Dakota still sell dyed diesel at the pumps. You need to pay attention to which pump handle you grab.

I caught that too. I just had nothing to contribute to that part of the topic. A trucker can't normally steal something that already belongs to them. :mlaugh:

Have you ever met someone that was so stupid that he thought that he was intelligent? Had an owner operator lose his arse in a casino and sell me his brand new headache rack and chains and lumber tarps for $300. I've seen lease operators sell fuel.

I heard a guy bragging at a truckstop on the radio about waiting for everyone to fall asleep so he can steal fuel from mega drivers only. A bunch of other guys, got angry and threatening and he laughed. I told him that 1.) he is easy to find. Freightliner Century with 4 different tire brands on the drives sitting in the back of the truckstop.
2.) his freight is so cheap that he has to sit around and wait for everyone to fall asleep before he can fuel.
    He never said another word

This guy wants to put a bunch of 5 gallon cans in his semi to bring fuel to a pickup that he hasn't bought yet. And the most disturbing part about it all was he thought that he had a good idea. Painfully embarrassing.
