    More or less.
By calling the sheriff’s department the residents were actually showing restraint!

Saw this today. I would never buy a home anywhere that has an HOA.

I first hear of HOA’s when my wife and I bought a house a year ago. I decided then that I’d never buy a house where my neighbors would have control of what I did or didn’t do on property that I bought and paid taxes on. No way José

Obviously that particular HOA is no different from some of the trucking companies who close up shop and try to relocate and open under a different name!
Well they’re under the gun now.

Its pretty sick that this HOA won't let this woman fly flags. Even for memorial day.

That’s why I like living in a rural or semi rural area. To me those HOA’s seem to be made of interfering snobs with nothing better to do than stick their noses in their neighbors’ private business. I keep wondering when the day will come when one of those HOA goons goes too far and they wind up getting blasted.

Anyone complaining about their HOA should have read the contract. I would never buy property where i cant leave my car upside down on the front yard for a week or 10 until i get around to fixing it…
Condos as well come with conditions, read the contracts

Neighborhoods with HOA's sometimes go beyond the scope of reality. I've seen a video on YouTube of them trying to fine a guy because his pickup truck parked in the driveway had low air in the tires. Now a neighborhood without an HOA, anything goes, broken down cars, unkept landscape, couches in the driveway, shingles falling off, bed sheets on the windows for curtains. Whichever one suits you, have at it.
