I’m trying to get creative in holding them up where they can stretch and be off the catwalk. I’m not sure if it’s still against the regs to allow covered lines to scrub the catwalk? I got 2 grote springs and a bungee. I bought more springs and d-rings, but haven’t got a solution yet to keep the lines stretchable and off the catwalk.

Any suggestions? I will get another pogo stick if I must, but I’m kind of trying to go away from that route so if I need to haul a couple foot in the front I can. Thanks in advance

I don’t pull a flatbed but those look long. Separate the two spring hangers at the top so there is a longer span behind the cab by your headache rack. Since your connections are low make sure the glad hand connections lock as you pull up so you can’t make a sharp turn and pull them up an out.

I’d probably shorten them by a foot or two. Or when you tie them up put a loop in them to take up some slack.

    PE_T and HopeOverMope Thank this.

Yeah they do seem long. I pulled them straight up to get some slack out. I’m concerned with the gladhand pop out situation too. They’re a little loser than my last set up, which was tight. I put new gland hand receivers on the trailer too. I put a d ring in the top left corner but with the extra springs it didn’t bring much relief lol. I wonder if the lines on the car walk still count as chaffing? Even if I double rap it with silicone hose maybe

I’ll figure something out. I know a ton of guys run this set up, so there’s got to be a little solution

When I owned this truck I tied the lines up on the front of the cattle trailer. I see the current owner put a loop in to take out the slack.

Close but not touching anywhere. Move the clamp farther down the hose towards the trailer till it’s off the catwalk.

Seperate the springs and make two hangers....move one further down to lift up higher?

This is called a pogo stick and is used to keep the airlines off of the deck. I have a fiberglass one that has a large plastic hole where the airlines will fit through. I will post a picture of that tomorrow. You can get these at Iowa80.com and browse other truck parts through Google.
