When engine is running, turn off the A/C system (fan speed AND snowflake looking button). With engine now running when you turn on the snowflake switch you should a click near front of engine & RPMS adjust a little. Turn that snowflake switch on & off while engine runs. If you don't hear & feel the "click" & RPMs adjust then the A/C clutch is not engaging.

My reccomendation is take the names of companies where drivers on this forum have been satisfied for years, do thorough research on those companies, if they hire newbies, and then select from that list. All the companies that are hiring ir still hiring quickly are not necessarily good fits for you. The good fit is more important than anything else, IMO. The rumors of companies that worked well for a friend of a friend might only be disguised guesses by drivers that never worked for the company and based on outdated info from a time when every company was making money.

Little rubber snot balls that were flung from the ac pulley? That’s the clutch on the compressor. You need a new compressor.

He immediately sent me back to Atlanta where it’s hot still, and denied a hotel room. I think I’m driving it back to the terminal after all. Just not getting back in it.

I submitted a dvir after he routed me to Atlanta. I specifically put on there the horn is not working at all. The city horn. Western just called me and said it’s fine. Go ahead and drive….

KLLM has a terminal in Burns Harbor, Indi. They'll take your 3 month exp. and will be head & shoulders above Welfare Express.

Get out of that turd hole & move on asap....

If you can find the build date or the date they received the truck and it’s under 3 years it’s probably covered under warranty. Some have an extended warranty for 4 years.

Loves/Speedco does warranty work for international and they do A/C repair work.

It’s weird they dont advertise that more. Some Speedco managers dont even know about it.

Might get you back on the road with A/C, if you mention this to your dispatch/safety dept, until you find a company that treats you like a human bean.

Getting you ac fixed is a reasonable request, especially in a hot environment like Florida. Not much you can do but complain and request a hotel room. But sounds like it is time to look for a better job.
