You seem to not like driving a truck. Why don't you find something to do that is more than just "tolerable"?

If I didn't enjoy driving a truck, I would have been gone many years ago.

TripleSix, Deleon, Opus and 5 others Thank this.

What other job is there that requires less than 4 months of training and pays (at least) $400 daily in the Northeast and can allow one to work part-time or seasonally?

you don't even get into it....get into plumbing, electrical, roofing, carpentry, stone mason, bricklayer, cement mason, trades instead.

The Ontario airport is within walking distance. Back before covid + prices of things starting going through the roof, I'd walk to the airport and rent a car. That airport has plenty rentals to choose from and I loved going for the v8's like a Charger RT, Challenger RT, Camaro SS, or once or twice a Corvette stingray. They even have Lamborghinis once in a while but I never spent that much.

Probably one of the most adrenaline-inducing moments was coming across an Audi R8 whilst myself driving a new Camaro SS, then we both are doing ~120 in a 45. Foolish, and I'd never do it again. But I will say that between a car that costed ~125,000 vs a car that costed ~40,000 in (those days), the Camaro was right behind the Audi R8

The few times I stopped at the Ontario east or west Trash America, spend lettil time, it was worth DEPARTING. There was NO CHANCE I would have ever "spent 1 Night". The side streets were preferred and Idled.

The following is from 2014 to April 2018.
    Other Fun Stuff Trucking:
Parking for some sleep at oddball Truck stops, like (in early '18 this place was open), I-20, X 17, east side L&B Truckstop. Yes, it was a DUMPSTER FIRE with big holes all over lot, but it beat the Ramps. Mcdogs across the street and some other drive thru at truck slop entrance.
I only stepped out of my truck twice: after securing a spot (which was easily done becuz not many travelers, because it was a DUMPSTER FIRE), and before departing the natural toilet stop.
There were bags of "stuff" scattered all over the site but NO ONE BOTHERED ANYONE.
Back up the road was Anniston, but too many dopey drivers didn't like the way I parked (nose facing Woods) so after a few times of having to extricate combo in creative non damaging ways, I just stopped parking there.
Stop was after all the Climb and Drops, exit, on right.
I-30 W or E, Ar-not-kansas, I believe exit 106 Military Rd. That place was fun when LEAVING.
I-30 W or E Ar-not-kansas, X 63. Run down restaurant and site USED TO HAVE LOTTA PARKING but sold half the parking area, so parking then was creative.
Restaurant was nasty but some of the vittles were sufficient.
I-40 , X 147, Adult Toy Store, OPEN 24/7, with access to clean toilets, then. Parking was FREE. Store started charging to park from having to clean up from the d-bag nitwits dumping their crud. BIG dumpster as well blue trash barrels. North Side, not that little southside "bookstore" with parking for a few tight friends.
    ADIEU!!

    More enjoyable:
Do NOT consume Granola Bars and High Test Coffee, like all morning.
Such SUGAR CRASH LEVELS delete tolerance levels for the 2, 3, 4, 6 and 18 wheeled vehicles on the roads as well shippers and receivers, truck stop Personnel and especially Independent Mechanics.
No one likes a whiner especially one who's upset over no one changing his diaper.

    Oatmeal and Milk for calmness.
    Be One With The Road.
