Got sleeping bag, blanket and comforter on top as well as bunk heater. Saves me idling all those nights. Tripac keeps batteries charged.

I just park the truck in the heated garage, fire up my car and head on home to my heated house with clean warm toilet.

I decided to get some flannel sheets. Helps tremendously! Some flannel pajamas as well and you shouldn't have to idle or run bunk heater all night. Just get up a few minutes earlier to start truck or bunk heater to take the chill out.

    Or.....

Drive during the night and sleep during the day... when possible

There was a Swift driver reporting a few years ago that his driver manager boss was telling him to shut the truck off and go sleep in the T/A TV room so the idle time on that DM's board would look good for his bosses which translates to larger Christmas bonus for said DM.

I run the bunk heater and keep comfortable.
Why should I have to wear heavy clothes and sleep under a lot of blankets?
If they don't like it they can hire a Sherpa

I was having problems with my bunk heater not running all night. Instead of waking up 3 hours to turn it on, I got some flannel and makes a big difference. Takes 20 minutes to warm up the cab, so I've had no issue. However once I get it running all night it'll be toasty.

    Just giving some input man.

    Ok,
We got drivers that won't use the bunk heater because it hurts their profit sharing.
    I think they're retarded

Everyone is different. I'll put the bunk heater on just a little, then bury myself under blankets and be happy. I sleep great that way. If the bunk heater gets too hot I sleep really badly.

I can adjust my blankets in my sleep. Can't do that with the bunk heater without waking up.

    Rusty Trawler Thanks this.

Yeah, sure, just rub it in!
Heated seat? No more cold tukkas for the morning ablution. Tanker's living the high-life now, by God!
