I woke up really toasty once in January in Lodi Ohio but the smell was horrible
    My tractor was on fire
Sure was cold watching the fire dept put it out
I also burned up a trailer load of food in mpls in Feb
It's always winter when I burn up a truck.

Hi everyone. This winter I'm planning to install the "Eberspacher Hydronic II D5S 12V heater", what is a coolant heater actually. It's easy to install. It's heats your coolant so engine is warm in morning, so no cold starts. You can put ignition on and use truck own vents to stay warm. My friend has it, he says it keeps him warm up to 10 degrees, below 10 he keeps engine running. Price is @700-800$, plus 250$ for complete assemble kit. If in addition you can add up to one week timer it's @1050$, also they have for $1150 GSM controller, what allows you to control your heater from any place using your smartphone. Best solution I found for that money. I'll be ordering through heatso.com
They have just air heaters as well, they little chipper - starts from 700$ with assemble kit included

One thing I like is the location of my bunk heater controls, at the bunk control panel about 12 inches from me...don't have to get outta bed to turn on or adust temp....lol...one night I was sleepy, I accidently turned it up to 80 degrees...um.um..that's just to dang hot, I usually run it below 70...unless I'm doing a 34 break n wanna sleep in...lol

Your post brought back memories of a job I did in San Francisco years ago, we were vibrating pilings into the ground and this antique shp owner came running out to us with huge horse tears that the ancient antiques she had on her shelves were falling off. She begged us to stop til she could get everything on the floor wrapped in earthquake blankets.
