I was going to not do this, but after reading post # 33 decided to go ahead. I was scheduled to go to a 3-day orientation in Charlotte about 15 years ago. In fact, it was scheduled to start on that Tuesday and go through that Thursday and by the end of the day, Friday have my assigned tractor and start driving. On that Saturday afternoon before I left a friend of mine called me and asked me about my new job. He was wanting a driver that knew that San Antionio--Dallas area and it was an emergency for him because he was close to losing a good account. I decided to help him out and actually headed out that Sunday and was sitting at the TA near Tallulah La on that Monday morning when I called that carrier and told them I got a better offer. They said OK if I changed my mind, later on, give them a call. This is not hard, it's also not a serious issue.
