last Friday i made my first 2 deliveries. i mean it as even though i’m with a trainer i got to pre-trip, tarp and strap the load, drive to the receiver, untarp/unstrap, stow everything away, and drive back all while my trainer stood back and let me do it. twice actually as we had 2 loads to do. he only pointed out where i messed up (few times nothing serious) but let me do it as if he wasn’t there.
yes yes it might not mean much to some, but i means a lot as it’s an accomplishment for myself and my family (wife and kiddos).
oh and i didn’t hit anything, loose anything, nobody died or got hurt, etc
I did it, dellivered my first two loads.

Some of the best training I ever got was when I was learning to secure and haul glass and having a supervisor let me secure it by myself, then showing me where I made a mistake(in a positive way) so I learned from my mistakes...having to undo and redo it right made me more attentive to the little things and made me a much better driver in the long run. (And I still make mistakes, that I still learn from)
