Sorry that happened to you . When you invest your time and energy into something and random events cause major issues , like what you went through , it throws you for a loop . First off , you 'll survive , second , you are doing everything you need to move on , so thats what you do . If and when you get a hazmat and tanker , if you need a job , i'll hire you in Abq. Could use a good hand . Good luck

    Who is this schmuck outfit?

If they fired a man only for REPORTING damage to a trailer, not necessarily being the one who actually did it, then I sure as hell wouldn’t want to work there and any competent hand worth his salt can do better.

Man, I was there three years. Never saw something like that while I was there. Heard stories from other terminals but this was a hell of a way to experience it.

I've been fired 3 times in my life, 2 of those jobs were CDL jobs. You caught a bad break for reasons none of us will ever know. It hurts to get betrayed, screwed over, etc. The only way to shrug it off is go right back I'm the game. You can still work, just your truck is going to be a different color, so all isn't lost. Life has a weird way of removing us from situations.

Hell. Ya'll wanna hear something really weird?

Former ops manager just called me and invited me over to have supper with her and the husband who also drives.

I got a friend in Pensacola who says she knows a couple of attorneys, one of them wants me to come down and have a chat.

You did do the right thing. You just didn't do the right thing correctly (the irony in that statement lol) @Chinatown was telling you how do the right thing correctly, so that you minimize the chances of taking the blame. Someone else said check out the equipment before hooking to it. That's good advice too. All you can do is chalk it up to the game, and use it as a learning experience in order to protect yourself going forward.
