It is cheaper for a company to hire trainees vs experienced drivers. Number 1 exp drivers cost more number 2 they get more miles with trainees and trainers. Trucks run twice as far and cost less per mile. That's been proven in this industry.

Seems to me that a driver works for a company. Driver proven innocent, company proven innocent. So both benefit when the driver is not at fault. To say "they have nothing to do with protecting the driver" is false.

Your bad attitude about cameras and companies does not make for reality. While in general terms you may be correct, the reality of it is that NOT ALL companies are as you described.

And again I'll correct your misstatement "cameras facing the employee not the road ahead, nothing is gained from that except fo maybe another unreality show". A 10 second clip before impact, showing the driver had both hands on the wheel and was looking ahead will DISPROVE any four wheeler/lawyer lie saying the driver was distracted.

I can see where someone who doesn't drive safely would be intimidated by a camera facing the driver. But I'm sure you're not intimidated, you're just looking out for the other guy who has to deal with the cameras, right?

Bingo! Seems like it's the better companies out there (that I've heard anyway) that are going with the cameras. The ones I know about, the ones that are putting the cameras in, hire the seasoned drivers. The ones that hire the rookies, with the high turnover, really don't want the cameras because they know most times it IS the rookies fault.

It amazes me how willing the sheep are led to destruction....keep thinking these cameras are for your protection.

Had a company installed cameras. First they said it was to protect the driver and ONLY USE AND VIEW after an accident. Period. Well guess what, hit a pothole and caught you looking at the car next to you because there's a foxy lady? Called in and write up because they caught you distracted. Half naked while driving because no a/c? Another write up for no uniform. Etc etc, it's a double edge sword.
I use a dash cam for my personal use. It should be the drivers choice to install a camera, facing in or out to protected themself.

And to get back on topic... if you work for a company that has a trucking fleets, you could ask to be promoted and get the company to train you for free. Example: if u work for MCD they have delievery trucks

I'm assuming here that you mean McDonald's when you say MCD.....Uh...they don't....GSF and Martin Brower...deliver most of their product (neither one of them are part of McDonald's) .....McDonald's does NOT own it's own delivery trucks.....
