Indiana State Police are targeting truckers in the I-465 > Mt Comfort construction zone, on I-70. I travel through there, everyday. There are as many as 4 troopers and a DOT cop working it. Cars and pickups fly through there, but, only trucks are ever pulled over. Watch yourselves!

I also just learned that Indiana is now charging a minimum of $10,000 for any over weight and giving tickets for as little as 300 lbs over axle.

Got it from my Safety Critter - it's still the 10 cents a pound, plus $5,000 for not having a permit, plus "court costs ".

Indiana has never liked semi trucks.
A few years back on I. 70 i was in the right lane, doing the 65/trucks and naturally cars at 70 were running 75+ by me.
Some dude on shoulder had decided he was ready to go with his spare mini tire, I put on blink blink, everyone floored it, as they do.
Finally found me a spot infront of a trooper, moved flew by the idiot who jumped off shoulder and wouldn’t go no faster than 30-35, and moved back over safely.

    Trooper pulled me over.
He chewed me out for “Slowing him down, and impeding the flow of traffic.”
I pointed to my camera, says it was all on video, and he should pull over that guy, who was slow crawling passed us AGAIN, who was the cause of the problem to begin with.
He took my license and ran it, no tickets, came back differently, told me to “Drive Safe” and took off.
So now you’re trying to get up speed at 80k and merge back into traffic.

I rarely run Indiana anymore, i used to go to Richmond IN a lot then reload in Indy back down.

Won’t do it now unless it pays extra for the state.
Last time I was there was 9/9-9/10 last year, but it paid well, then i don’t fuel in the state.
Actually haven’t bought anything to eat still in that state..
Still boycotting over 30 years later.

    I still remember… though most don’t
