Good list of tools/supplies a new company driver should carry on board to deal with easy minor issues?
All I can think of is:
*containers of oil, coolant, and washer fluid.
*cleaning supplies (for cab interior: spray bottle of washer fluid or window cleaner, paper towels, cleaning wipes, rags).
* broom that can be disassembled(brush from handle) and dust pan for sweeping out trailer.
*screwdriver/wrench/locking pliers/multi tool/hammer(if it's broke, hit it till it's not).
*fuses, light bulbs, glad hand gaskets, misc nuts/bolts.
* flashlight
Any thoughts about chem lights in addition to reflective triangles?
Is there a....

Save the glow sticks for raves....
Add WD-40, super glue, duct tape and a few bungee straps to your list.
Consider building up a better tool box than what you can find at wal mart.
A cheap mulit meter and test light for diagnosing electrical problems.
I use one of those mini bottles of dish soap and run a bead across the squeegee to clean the guts off the windshield and for the interior that generic citrus scented furniture polish is better than armor all.S M D Thanks this. -

Yeah... cash is a must have. At least $300 I think. And a case of bottled water.
And I keep my open fluid containers in a plastic milk jug crate in the side box. Nothing worse than mopping up spilled oil.... speaking of, a few shop rags won't hurt either.
An air line to air up tires is also a must have. -

- Fire extinguisher - This should already be in the tractor, but it doesn't hurt to have more than one of at least 10lb ABC type.
- Crescent Adjustable Pry bar - I have one of these in the 16" model (also comes in 24") and it's incredibly handy to have around. It's a hammer / pry bar / nail puller and it has come in handy numerous times. Push that little "button" on the head and that portion slides up and down, it's not fixed like the image shows. http://www.crescenttool.com/crescent-db16-16-adjustable-pry-bar-nail-puller.html
- At least 50' coiled 1/4" line with appropriate air chuck.
- High quality tire gauge.
- Tire thumper of some sort (pry bar above, small fire bat, etc.) Just make sure to not thump your steer tires.
- I highly recommend LED lights for everything. You can buy little 3 LED lamps that clip onto your hat or even a small LED light that has a strap and you can wear it on your head. Frees up both your hands.
- Leather gloves and / or Mechanix (brand name) gloves and also some chemical resistant gloves.
- Baby / sanitary wipes for washing your hands when you don't have appropriate facilities nearby.
- Bungee cords and tape have already been mentioned, but have a small roll of rope and / or twine. Never know when you may need to tie something to secure it of get it out of the way of something else.
- Small load straps - see previous reason.
