Before I did anything I would want more information. Did they pass your load to someone else or did something happen that was beyond the companies control? I would express my displeasure in a Professional manner. Teams are very valuable in this industry. Husband and wife teams are what companies dream of. You should be treated like gold. If you do not get the correct answers then by all means find a new company but give the company you are with a chance to make it right.

I know a company called Woolly Rhino Transportation out of Liberty, MO. When they start hiring teams, I am sure they will treat you right.

We are seeing some of that. Our long west coast run got postponed a day because freight wasn't ready. So now we r running a 500 mile round trip to ky then back tomorrow to pick up west coast run. I guess that's so we don't get layover pay. I currently have 50 hours in the sleeper. And its 1 am and just found out this load may not go.

Only answer we could get was that the Dalton terminal needed help. Dalton was our home terminal that we came from, then moved over to Conover for the dedicate route.
Our load was passed to someone else.
We're supposed to be Conover's dedicated team.

Yep, we've many a run to Berea and back....lots of small runs with too much waiting time is a killer for a team that's ready to ROLL.

Low miles+low pay= bills not getting paid

    Not good :smt078

If I was already headed down the road with my load and got a call to come back to get a different trip, I would be pissed. Especially if there wasn't a good explanation or an emergency of some type. Yep, you got jacked around on that one. Has it happened before?

    Good Luck.

Sorry but Welcome to trucking. Some of us told you guys not to go to WS in the first place, but you didn't listen. But truly trucking companies are a ball of confusion. You will have things like that happen where ever you go. You just have to learn to take one for the team, and that's not the team in the truck but the company as a whole. Now if you are getting crappy miles and it doesn't look like its going to get any better. You may want to find other employment, but don't be surprised if they want to put you through extra training. Also don't go to Solo outfits thinking you are going to get team miles. CONWAY, US EXPRESS, COVENANT, QUEST, And I forget that one company that has those pretty nice trucks, but they go real slow. Think they are out of Alabama or South Georgia.

If you make it a habit of taking things personal after getting bent over and having to drop a load to help the company or another driver out. You will have a long list of jobs and be labeled a job hopper. So pick your next carrier wisely and learn to take one on the chin every now and then. Shake it off, and get ready for the next one cuzz buddy it's coming. Yeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwww

I hear that company is very shady. I would be very weary before going to work there.

The owner has a virtual woodshed - very shady.
