DRIVERS!!! THIS COMPANY HAS INBOARD FACING CAMERS WITH AUDIO.. THAT SHOULD BE ALL YOU NEED TO HEAR, BUT NO ONE TOLD ME UNTIL IT WAS TO LATE.....

If you get mad and cuss another driver for doing something stupid or scream at a stupid driver the camera will notify safety and they monitor you for exercising your freedom of speech. Several drivers have been fired for cussing in the truck. I'M ONE OF THEM!!

They have a rule that you can't go to casinos or even scratch state sponsored lotto scratch off ticket in their trucks. Yes!!! This is a rule in thier driver handbook. They try to play it off and say ohh well we had a safty guy that was kinda overly crazy, but he's gone and we don't enforce that rule. THE QUESTION YOU SHOULD BE ASKING IS WHY IS IT STILL IN THE RULE BOOK AND WHY WAS IT EVER THERE TO START WITH?????? CONTROL!!!!

If you have a phone conversation it better not include anything personal because they are always listening. They tell you none of this until your 3rd day of orentation then they drop it on you. I stayed because I had already quit my job and had no choice. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. Ask your recruiter about the cameras. They try to tell you if you are a lease operator you can cover the camera. That is a lie!!! Ask for a copy of the contract they plan to have you sign in advance of orentation. They have a Nancy Pelosi attitude about the contract... You have to sign it BEFORE you can read whats in it!! Demand a up-front copy of the contract before you go to orentation.

Then of course unless you're a favorite little pet driver or related to the shop manager, operations manager, or safty director you will get all the scrap loads. The milk loads go to the special drivers. This company is basically a beauty queen carbon copy of Hurricane Express up the street but with the good ol' boy attitude.

 

Read!! I was in orentation when they dropped all this on me. They hid it until I was already without a job and in orentation. Yes at that point I felt I had no choice but to ride it out until I found a better job. I did move on later. That doesn't change the content of the post. What they did and how they operate needs to be clear to future drivers looking at them as a perspective employer. The post is to inform the collective not to give you the opportunity to bash the informant.

 

100% agree. In addition read post like these to decide if what you're being told and what others have experienced line up. I agree if you don't like the rules don't work for the company. It's another man's life's work building HIS company to be ran as he sees fit. This post is simply informing the masses as to what to expect and what to look out for. Save others from making a recruiter informed mistake.
