Parked at a gas station last night which has a diesel pump for truck drivers, and a small lot where 1-2 trucks could fit out of the way. They said this space isn't meant for trucks tho, and I need to leave, my Elog is out of hours tho, and there were no signs saying trucks shouldn't park here. What would the police be able to do legally? I'm in fountain city, IN asy at the marathon station

Nothing its your job to park legal. You parked on PRIVATE LAND.. You have to move and restart your 10hour break

You can admit to them that you made a mistake and beg their forgiveness. It goes a long way when you're in the wrong. They might let you stay if you're not a dick.

They could tow your truck and arrest you for trespassing,
There's a truckstop north of you in Lynn, or the Loves and Petro south of you.
Is your break about over ?

Do what most drivers would do. If the local police threaten to arrest you or impound your vehicle just let them know you have the US Marshalls on speed dial. A blacked out helicopter will arrive to set them straight in no time!!

Well, you are on their property, without permission. They have every right to ask you to move. And by the way, your ELOG means nothing to them or the cops. So, trying to play lawyer with them will just make your situation worse, and make you look like an idiot.

Looks like a diner next door, go park there. Have a real meal, and spend your money supporting a small business.

They can rectify the situation quicker than anyone can. And the main focus is interstate commerce and if making that driver break his 10 hr break affects his ability to get loads where they need to be...then the interstate commerce cause comes into play and they will address that.
