Freymiller should contact you and give you royalties for all the people that you suggest to go work there. Freymiller and Abeliene both should be paying you.

    Redtwin and Chinatown Thank this.

Last year it costs $7.50 USD for the 1.5 hr. buffet and now it's $15.00 USD

My nephew recently got on with a carrier. All he ever did was some truck driving in the National Guard, but he got his CDL at the same time since the testing was offered. Hasn't been driving for a couple of years since he got out. He got on with a regional carrier and had offers from 3 others. 4 days on, 2-3 off at home, running routes in Midwest. Iowa to Ohio, back up to MN, and back down to Iowa. No slip seat. Dry box work, no touch.

You will need to go thru training again since you have zero exp Twenty miles under your belt is nothing more then a road test .How about calling the company you was driving for?Since you left them on good terms I would think they'll rehire you.You may need to take a refresher since it's been over a yr.

Truck schools offer refresher courses to graduates and some companies would hire you to go out with trainer without a refresher course.

I originally jumped on a waiting list for a non-smoking trainer at Freymiller. However, I'm getting anxious and I don't want to keep waiting!

I've been accepted at Magnum Ltd. My background check and review is complete and I've been accepted! I was asked an open-ended question of how I would like to get to their terminal. I asked if they could rent me a car... and that's what they're gonna do!

They're gonna put me on a trainer's truck for 2-4 weeks and depending on his review of me, I can get my own truck from there. If I do really well, I may only be with the trainer for 2 weeks.

If anyone else is in a similar situation to me at this point, you can check out what Magnum has to offer here: http://magnumlog.com/pages/benefits.aspx

There is also a super-awesome, ongoing thread about this company here (includes pictures and a lot of info from people who already drive there... hundreds of pages!): http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/magnum-ltd-fargo-nd.266917/

They seem like a great company. I'm thankful they are giving me an opportunity! I can't wait to get back OTR.

Thank you, @Chinatown for setting me up with an initial list of companies to check out. Once I started looking into those companies, it spider-webbed to a bunch of other companies as I researched them.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
