    You should start with your state trucking association if you have one. Join them and take advantage of the resources they have to offer members. You should also obtain the Red & Blue Book. Other resources include individual states Agriculture Co-Ops, Trade Associations like the Produce Marketing Association and subscribing to Refrigerated Transporter magazine.

    Check out the Produce truck rate every Wed . Free info lets you know what farmers are paying brokers for truck loads and tells you where shortage of trucks are to place yourself in the cat bird seat. Tip its on the USDA website . Truck Produce Rate pdf
