Try to find a job as a dock worker. Most companies will let you borrow their equipment to practice and use for the CDL test. It is much cheaper and you still draw a check doing something else. We actually got a guy at my terminal that I am working with to get his Class A.

Listen if you want to drive remember that 1 out of 5 quit because they ain't aware how long they would be gone. I lived my life on road. 3 generations of truckers. I couldn't do anything else. If you want to really do this get in with company that pays for school and get a year under belt. Then find a real company. Remember in training you don't make much money.
