Think I may finally say good by to the freight game.

have an interview tomorrow to work for private fleet Nabisco. Pays $29.15 time and a half.

four day work week between 40-50 hours

 

Good luck we talked today with R&L they don’t have team position available here in Vegas and it’s impossible to get a hold of an actual recruiter from OD, guess we’ll have to stay with the company we’re currently at

 

Good hours, good money, AND you get it done in four days? I've always preferred long hours in short days so I get more time off to recover.

 

start time is random dispatch is anytime between midnight and 4am. Off weekends and Wednesday. I like my current job but no time and a half and working 7-6 or 7ish is a bust. My wife has to miss work for all our errands like say… plumber, electrician going to the bank, etc…

 

Days like today I should of switched to OD.

 

OD does pretty well by their drivers, from what I hear. It's not too late to make the jump.

At this point, I'm kind of...LTL-adjacent. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

 

The OD I got an offer at has zero day lanes. So I passed and transferred to a FXF hub that has more day runs than night. So there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

 

SAIA will put you work tomorrow. Their sleeper trucks don't have driver facing camera's due to privacy laws. Only road facing camera's.

 

Is it as good as Estes or OD? We just had a call from Estes this Tuesday and we already got interviewed by the recruiter at HQ we’re just waiting for a call from the Hiring Manager we’re not out out the blue yet

 

No go on Nabisco. They wanna force vaccines.
