Well, it is Oklahoma. Maybe they have to get everyone in the building (that speaks english)to come over and take off their shoes and socks so they can count high enough to check in the load. I will be lucky if I don't have to reschedule both my other stops until tomorrow the way it's going.

I'm in a similar spot as you, @supersnackbar. Got here at delivery last night around 9pm for a 5am appt. Got in a door at 3am.now it's 0846 and my next pickup is supposed to be at 1000. I left Jeremy a voice-mail and peoplenet message to let him know I'll be late. I'm at a different customer than you though.

Honestly i don't mind waiting as long as everyone knows where i am and it's not my fault for being late and I'm still getting paid. I see it as a paid break. Plus i get to come hang out with you guys :)

I would be upset if I were planned on something, or was planning on being available after the third stop. But Matt never sent me anything on Friday, and I really was hoping he would load me in the morning, so I only planned on heading to wherever that is after my 3rd stop. I am just glad it isn't too hot right now.(suppose to be in the upper 80's here this afternoon) As cool as it is this morning, with the doors open at the dock, the reefer only cycles once in a while. If it were hot, it would be wide open and I would have to top the reefer off before the other stops.

My people have already done that for me. I talked to Jeremy since I posted that and he's handling everything for me. :)

Was just a word of advice. Never trust someone else to do it.

When I got repaired Friday I told dispatch when I would be at my delivery. I made it to my delivery before I said, but they accused me of being late. They said no one informed them I wouldn't be there at 10.

It worked out, but the stress and cussing could have been avoided

True. That guy seemed to be in a very bad mood to say the least lol

On another note, I reset my GPS odometer before I started rolling on October 1st. As of right now it reads 12,726. I've got 61 miles to drive to my next pickup and 564 miles on that for delivery tomorrow (appt pending). I could figure out how many miles I'm getting paid for, but I'm confident it will be over 11,500 and that's what I care about right now. At the end of the month when I see my mileage it always makes me realize I didn't really sit as much as I thought.

Edit: also, I've had a string of light, well-balanced loads over the past week or so and was driving mountain-less until yesterday. I reset my peoplenet stats last week and my average MPG has been at 9.2/9.3. I know that won't be my monthly average, but woohoo it will raise it a little! Lol

Matt just sent me a 700 mile load that picks up today out of Tulsa...and I am still sitting here at stop 1. Plus, he has given me an hour between the last stop appointment and the p/u appointment...(for a 90 mile deadhead). Even if I wasn't delayed like this I couldn't make it. The old Matt is back.

My GPS is showing 10800, with 150ish miles to finish this load. And I started this month the evening of the 6th.
