It's starting to sound like Crete around here...trucks breaking down, loads cancelling at the most inconvenient time and having to wait for word from high command...and sudden deductions appearing on drivers pay...you didn't hear about that last one? Oh yea...Thursday I delivered my broker load to US Foodservice so I could get home. Was told by the lumpers and the receiver that it was prepaid, no check had to be issued. So I msg'd Mandi that there was no charge, and to cancel the advance she sent the day before, and she replied with the standard reply about telling accounting. Then Saturday afternoon, after everyone was suppose to be out of the office, a $136 deduction "appeared" on my drilldown for lumper expense for that same load. So I sent a message to Fargo wondering what is going on...since I don't have a receipt (because I was told that it was prepaid)I hope I don't have a deduction removed on Fridays check. It's already gonna be a crappy 4700 mile/2 week check.

Used to get one out of Akzo Nobel in High Point, NC going all over in WI, last stop in MN. Six stops total, hazmat, and all little furniture plants, so it was step right this way and we'll unload you immediately. I'd knock that one out in a day and then go home or get a reload.

I've had one live load there and they didnt load early. But usually it's a drop and hook there. You can get a washout on site and we have a company account.

@DustMyBroom in fact, when you get there you have to go straight to the wash bay for an inspection. You can't get your paperwork without the inspection sheet from them. They basically tell you if you need a washout or not, and if you do then they wash it right then and there. You can also fuel the reefer there if they tell you that you need to.

I wish more customers were like them

This rest area also looks like a weigh station. The ground view also looks like it may be closed. Anyone know the status? I was gonna head over there after I get loaded...it's only a few miles away.... but not if it's a weigh station lol

EDIT: yep, it's a weigh station. :) the google street view makes it looks like it's under construction, but it's definitely finished and in service. it was closed for me right now though. I'm staying the night here.

Show up at shipper refer at -10 like load instructions and giant sign at shipper says. Back into door to get 15 minutes later dude walks out pull up your trailer is too cold. What do you want it set at oh I don't know. Then he comes back tells me 45-50. Warm it up go back in and the boss man says you where right we never communicated the right temperature just turn it off it's a new product guess we need to change our sign. Go scale out I'm 2200 over on drives. Return boss guy goes I guess he single any. Yep. Go scale out still 400 over. The hell with and got moving. Swing by thermo king got the 400 lb APU waiver certification. Still out of there in less than 2 hours

You need a certification? I thought it was just based on the fact that you have a reefer and an APU you were good.
