So if I'm supposed to be in Grand Forks tomorrow, but I29 is closed... what am I supposed to do? Find another way? Park in Fargo and tell dispatch I can't move until they open the highway?

Go deep enough, and the south is safe from this one and every other one. It's all that snow that's addled yalls brains in the first place.
Send whomever a message saying you can't get through because the road is closed, then park it when you get as far as you can go. Theyll either have you drop it or pay you to babysit it. They may tell you to go another way, but they close these roads for a reason and that reason doesn't magically change just because some two lane state highway is still open.

    gdyupgal and Zata40 Thank this.

Defeated by the Blue Mountains, had 18" of snow, still chaining.

Gave up waiting for the road to open and headed north to the Bitterroots.

Now we have to go south to avoid North Dakota, which is shut down by a different blizzard.

Gonna be a long trip to Maryland...

Grand Forks, ND to Springville, UT. That's a new destination state for me!

It's gray... so no dispatcher! Oh no! I'll be stuck there forever!

    gdyupgal Thanks this.

Matt's zone...did that run once, don't be in a huge hurry at the receiver, I think it took 4+ hours. I ended up heading up west of Boise to pick up a load to the Memphis area. That's the load that had the wrong pick up date, was told that I was suppose to pick up the following afternoon when I was actually suppose to be up there an hour after my UT delivery appt.

    gdyupgal and Zata40 Thank this.

For the first time I had to call Chad to complain about having to sit 2 of the last 5 days. It was promptly fixed by adding some layovers. It was more than fair offer. Plus he said he would speak to MN dsp to make sure I can keep rolling.
